The ONWARD Project, an education-based nonprofit, is seeking stories sparked by the photographs related to the historic 1930’s Rainbow Bridge Monument Valley Expedition, the focus of our project. Photo caption says, “Not chaps but goat skins.” Caption on another version of this photo (not visible) says, “INDIAN CHILD ON BURRO. Note cat in wagon in background. We frequently noticed that families brought the cat to the post when they came to trade. In this case there were 4 kittens also.”
