The ONWARD Project, an education-based nonprofit, is seeking stories sparked by the photographs related to the historic 1930’s Rainbow Bridge Monument Valley Expedition, the focus of our project. This photo is labelled “Atherton and bull snake.” There were two Athertons in the 1934 Expedition crew, brothers, J. Ballard and Alexander C. Atherton. Both participated in archaeology. We are hoping to figure out which one is in this photo.
