This man was identified in community outreach at Navajo Nation as possibly being Pete J. Greyeyes, who grew up in Tseget [Tsegi] and married at Navajo Mountain. Photo may have been taken in the Copper Canyon area. This image is a scan of a photo that was written on during outreach.

Pete and his brother, Repete, as my family told us (and I hope it’s not some joke) were identical twins. Pete lived in Navajo Mtn. across the canyon, and his brother lived elsewhere, I think. I have to ask my aunt Mary.

He lived in Tsegi, and was most likely to have traveled to Kayenta, whereas Pete lived across the canyon on Paiute Mesa, and would very rarely make it out, unless he was going to Shonto Trading Post for supplies, through Tall Mountain.”
